Tracing is the act of using a writing or coloring tool to draw through a simple line or the outline of an image. Tracing is an activity that promotes development of precise fine motor skills, visual-spatial abilities, and eye hand coordination to follow the line's path. The simplest tracing requires staying on solid, wide, straight lines. The most challenging tracing requires staying on dotted, thin, multi-directional lines.
