TYPE words directly into PDF!! First student rolls the die and moves the corresponding number of spaces. If they land on a movement, they will move their body and complete that brain break the number of times on the die. If they land on a word, depending on the level of the student, they will either read that word, identify the letters, or say that word in a sentence. Continue this process with each child. Take turns until all players reach the finish.
Attach the “Germ Targets†to the wall at various heights. Stand several feet away from the targets. Vary distance based on skill level of the student. Listen for your Physical Therapist to call out the germ or germ combination. Throw a small ball or bean bag to hit that germ(s). Each time you hit the target, you get those points. How many points did you get?
Collect three small bins or baskets. Print and attach “PLANET†targets to each of the three small bins or baskets. Crumple up balls of tin foil to make “moon rocksâ€. Student stands 5-8 feet away from baskets. PT instructs student how to use a step and throw toss. Student will listen for PT to call out the name of a planet. Student will toss a “moon rock†into the correct bin. Once the student successfully tosses a moon rock in the basket, he/she will record their score. Repeat steps 4-7 for a total of 10 trials.
Attach the “Monster Targets†to the wall at various heights. Color and Black/White versions included. Listen for your therapist to call out the monster or monster combination. Throw a small ball or bean bag to hit/smash that monster(s). Each time you hit the target, you get those points. How many points did you get?
PURPOSE OF GAME: Child tries to do their best to keep the heart balloon (red balloon with heart drawn) afloat while using a variety of body parts. This is a timed activity. The child records the duration of time he/she keeps their balance before the heart (balloon) touches he floor.
Collect three small bins or baskets. Print and attach “APPLE KIDS†targets to each of the three small bins or baskets. Student stands 5-8 feet away from baskets. PT provides student with a small red ball that resembles an apple. PT instructs student how to use a step and throw toss. Student will listen for PT to call out the name/color of an apple kid. Student will toss “apple†into the correct bin. Once the student successfully tosses a ball in the basket, he/she will imitate the action of that Apple Kid.
Print tennis racket template on cardstock. Cut out tennis racket. Glue to paper plate. Tape popsicle stick to back of paper plate racket. Blow up balloon for the tennis ball. Hit the ball with your racket!
Place the “Colorful Teeth†on the floor around the child. Hold a small ball in both hands. Listen for your Therapist to call out the colored tooth. Bounce the ball on that color tooth (or teeth combination) and then catch the ball. Try to clap your hands after bouncing the ball. This is tricky!
Attach the targets to the wall at various heights. Listen for your therapist to call out the school supply or combination. Throw a tennis ball to hit that item(s). Each time you hit the target, you get those points. Includes 5 wall targets and score board sheet.
Place the “Weather Targets†on the floor around the child. One in front, one behind, and to either side. Hold a small ball in both hands. Listen for your therapist (Meteorologist!) to call out the “Weather Alert†or “Weather Alert†combination. Bounce the ball on that weather target(s) and then catch the ball. Includes 4 wall targets.
Attach the “Dog targets†to the wall at various heights. Listen for your therapist to call out the dog name/emotion or combination. Throw a tennis ball to hit that dog(s). Each time you hit the target, you get those points. Includes 4 wall targets and score board sheet.
Attach the “Bug targets†to the wall at various heights. Listen for your therapist to call out the bug or bug combination. Throw a small ball or bean bag to hit that bug(s). Each time you hit the target, you get those points. Includes 4 wall targets and score board sheet.
Attach the “Flashlight Targets†to the wall at various heights. Slightly dim the lights. Listen for your therapist to call out the Camping item. Hold the flashlight in both hands and shine the light on that target while balancing on one foot. Hold this position for as long as you can. Record your time! Includes 4 wall targets and score board sheet.
