Begin with outside areas (hands, feet, mouth, eyes, ears, noise, voice, cheeks, skin) and then move to inside (muscles, lungs, heart, brain, stomach and bladder). Optional: Use the “Body Check Poster” to review body parts/areas. Encourage the child to describe what they notice or feel in that body area. Select and place “body clue” icons/visuals on the body outline. The child can select multiple icons for each body area. Brainstorm strategies that may help when that body clue is noticed.
