Place rainbow mat on a baking tray or similar shallow tray. Pour a thin layer of salt over the rainbow mat. Provide child with a shape card. Child will use their finger to copy the shape on the card in the salt tray, revealing a fun rainbow shape! Repeat for all shapes.
Cut out each cookie card. Laminate for durability. Use a dry erase marker to trace the dotted lines on the cookies.
Print out these cards on heavy paper, cardstock, or laminate for protection. Cut out each individual card. Using sand, shaving cream, dough, or any other tactile manipulative, child must copy the design. The possibilities are endless with this resource! Have fun!
